New Motor Safari Blog

Hi and a warm welcome to the Motor Safari blog.

As it’s our Silver Jubilee year (25 years…how did that happen?)
We thought it would be fun to share ‘stuff’ with you.
And why not become a friend on our Facebook page?
We also have included on the web site and Face book a chance for you to put archive photos on.
Check out Pete and I way back, especially his moustache!!!

We may only be in February bur our new 4x4 holidays are proving to be just the ticket for many people. If you own a 4x4 we can design a fantastic holiday, or even weekend break.
Check out the info on our web site.
I am already getting people from all over the globe emailing me to design a unique leisure break! Good bye sleep hello dark circles!! But given that I enjoy meeting people it’s a great opportunity. And I am truly excited and have already had so much fun organising some pretty extraordinary safari’s.
Leo and Mary from Boston - U.S.A. has agreed to allow me to tell you about theirs….thanks to both of you.

They want to enjoy a Celtic Safari and have requested the hire of a Land Rover.
Mary wants to sleep in ancient historic houses… preferably with big baths, lots of hot water and air conditioning…gulp!
I have explained that air conditioning is not easily found in ancient buildings, but I’m searching! Mary also wants to soak up every experience we can offer, as she loves history.
Leo is perhaps looking at the adventure driving and both will be spending four days with us receiving personal tuition in order that they can safely go off road. Leo has already asked about the Trans Wales Safari but I don’t think Mary knows about that…until now!
There is plenty of time to organise this as they won’t be crossing the pond until June.
Unlike the Devlin family who have decided to take their Nissan Patrol on safari during Easter and have asked me to arrange accomodation in Liverpool and the North Wales Coast. No problem!
Daughter wants to include archery, horse riding and shopping in Chester. Mum wants to return to the place of her birth (they now live in Surrey) and visit The Beatles Museum, Cathedrals etc, plus she is keen to enjoy some quality time with her teenagers, and this includes driving off road and going on a quad safari.
(I am going to mix adventure with luxury for her, so I have my eye on a great hotel with a spa etc!!)
We have had an unbelievable amount of snow here over December and January and we have just had more this week. It has meant some pretty exciting driving. Peter and the team were also kept busy towing poor old motorists off snow packed roads. We even helped a very pregnant lady who was stuck up the one mile track to her house, and a couple half way up a steep drop on World’s End! The historic Horseshoe Pass was closed yet some twit took his family for a ride up there in…wait for it…a mini! His wife was so relieved to see us I thought she might try and run off with our Instructor!
I now call the guys ‘The Heroes of the Big Freeze’.

Keep warm everyone, Spring is just around the corner.
